The Ötztaler Ache is a glacial river between May and October, a wild water in all its facets. With access points in the Rofen-, Venter- and the Ötztaler Ache, kayakers will find all kinds of technical challenges, depending on the water level. Adventures between the ravines, gorges and the open stream bed are assured.

RAFTING IN THE ÖTZTAL VALLEY
White water in all its facets can be experienced close-by on the Ötztal Ache and the Sanna River, as well as in the Imst gorge, the most frequented river section of Europe. Equipped with neoprene suit, shoes, helmet and a life jacket you can conquer the element of water by boat. Shoulder to shoulder with experienced and certified guides you can experience a fantastic ride across waves, eddies and poor-overs. On a more peaceful pirate’s tour young rafters from 4 years can get a taste of the white water. Rafting in the Ötztal Valley – an unforgettable experience.
CANYONING IN THE ÖTZTAL VALLEY
Canyoning too is a sport with close contact to the element of water. Numerous gorges, waterfalls and mountain brooks make the Ötztal the mekka of canyoning. With state-of-the-art equipment and accompanied by certified guides gorges, water slides and basins that are rated according to their difficulty are conquered. Everyone, beginner or pro, can experience the force of the water first hand: during up to 16m jumps or secured abseiling in waterfalls. The combination of water and rock, hiking, climbing, jumping and swimming makes this sport a challenge with a difference that touches all senses.
